What the? These people in the article would have been criminals even if they were working. What has this got to do with the DSP? Worst piece of "journalism" ever!

The corporate media led by Murdoch is currently running a hate campaign against welfare recipients to prepare the way for significant spending cuts next year.

Yes l guess the bastards are using the media to try to turn the public against people on DSP so they can get away with cutting billions off DSP , l guess they will try and kick as many people as they can off the DSP onto third world poverty Newstart allowance like they did the single parents. If they want to balance the budget they don't go after the rich who cost billions with family trust tax rorts, they go after the poor and disabled because we cant fight back with expensive lawyers or use the media.

But we have other deadly skills for fighting back, frugle, which may yet be called upon. I would not group single parents necessarily with disabled pension recipients. The situation in Australia is becoming more American every day . . . full DSP and OAP pensioners can expect to lose all indexing and extras when the Murdoch government takes over in Oz, then the actual reduction in base pension will come with the first Murdoch budget. If Murdoch wins in September as expected . . . and beats that "bad" democratic socially responsible government.
