The hosties run games and quizzes to keep the passengers amused as well, quite good fun to fly on.

As with all budget airlines you have to make sure that you have plenty of spare time and be prepared for cancellations.

I flew Qantas a fair bit in the last couple of years, to be honest they worked out cheaper on short notice bookings, the budget airlines always seemed to be expensive when I wanted to fly. Definitely leave a lot to be desired but price is everything and Adelaide usually involves an extra flight with airlines like Air Asia.
Singapore Airlines has been cheaper lately, and last year I had a couple of flights on Emirates including an upgrade.
My next trip will be one way, something I haven't had a lot of experience in booking and I'll probably be maxed out on luggage as well.
