Hi everyone, i've been desperately trying to find out information on what may happen to me if i take a 2 week overseas holiday (first one ever). I've been on the DSP since the early 1980's, and am worried that if i go overseas, i will be forced to take a JCA review if i do (this is what they told me at my local Centrelink) does anyone know if this is actually the case? Or am i being paranoid?

Welcome to the board guss,
No, they may ask if you want to be assessed for the indefinite portability but just say no, it's a holiday, maybe a one off.
Don't bother talking to the local office, just ring Centrelink International 131673 and just give them your departure and return dates. You can take 6 weeks if you like without losing any pension.

There's no problem notifying them, we have people do it from the airport departure lounge but I usually do it the day I book.
