I hope this is a good thing ..... no changes to pensions in first term. ....... But i have my doubts. We shell see where this leads im sure. No changes at all? what about their plans to review everyone under 40 years old.

Obviously mr Andrews was pointed in the direction of the DSP overseas website and common sense has prevailed.

Frugle it doesnt say there 'will be' but there "needs to be" Dr Henry doesn't have the power to make the changes l hope your right but l find it hard to believe they will just leave the DSP as it is, after the past 3 months they have kept going on about how they need to target it for budget savings. Andrews just said he wont do anything to narrow the gap between the DSP and newstart payrates, he didn't say he wouldn't try to shift a lot of people such as the under 40's from the DSP onto newstart.

Maybe its what he is not saying. It depends on what Joe Hockey wants to do. As we all know they all can not be trusted. We all will have to wait till May Till the budget is released. It will all be in the Fine details. We all know how it works

It will all be in the Fine details. We all know how it works Yes Hockey and Andrews on $6,000 bucks a week salary saying we DSP's get too much money on $400 a week because newstart is $250. Don't the knuckleheads realise the difference between newstart and the DSP, newstart is supposes to be a tempory payment until people find a job while the DSP is supposed to be enough for people to live on permanently because they are not well enough to work. Hockey keeps going on about the ' Age of entitlement ' is over, so when is he taking a salary cut, or a cut to his huge superannuation entitlement and all the other entitlments polticans get.

Yes 'the end of the age of entitlement' means those at the bottom lose whatever few entitlements they have so theres enough money in the budget so those at the top can keep all their entitlements.

The funny (and tragic) thing about this is that it's true. Imagine if pollies could be MADE to take a salary cut. Imagine the outrage ! They will never do so voluntarily, of course.
