I've decided to give it a crack,, go for portability. Have been on DSP 15 years. Have the same Dr for 20 years,, if not now when ? My dr is 70 and will retire as soon as they can replace her,,so best I jump in now while I have support from Her. I'm female,,58 with RA,, I've had since teen years. No paid work for over 30 years,, besides bringing up 3 kids. So ,, here we go,, let the games begin. Will keep you posted.

Good luck, get your ducks in a row and go for it. And don't be put off by a bad decision, the appeals system overrules Centrelink all the time.

Hi all. I received Unlimited Portability at the first attempt in February 2013. I have severe Emphysaema, severe Bronchiectasis, and acute Asthma. I went and saw a Manager at my local (Nundah QLD) Centrelink office, then multiple Doctor's reports, then another meeting at my local (Nundah QLD) Centrelink office with a different Manager, then Centrelink International Services granted the Unlimited Portability with no problems. I have been overseas since June 2013, and unable to fly at the moment due to lung, and particularly excessive mucous problems. My experience is that if you meet the requirements, Centrelink will be very helpful, and then you will be granted what you deserve.
