Thanks for replying Krystal... I had 'assumed' that once 20 points are awarded there was no need to address the POS. It will be interesting to see if the AAT covers it with me tomorrow or not. I think given your experience I will bring it up.

So , had my Government Contracted Doctors appointment today.
Not a good sign when you have a vision impairment and the first thing they ask you is to read 3 x A4 pages of information and sign the bottom (They seemed a bit perplexed when I said I'm not signing anything I can't read).
Actual appointment with doctor went for 75 minutes (once I got in because the doctor was running 20 minutes late) and of course there was that emergency call on her mobile she had to take and if she got one more text message I was ready to throw her phone out the window.
So I droned on for 75 minutes telling her all my functional impact descriptions until she finally said "I think I have enough information, I now need to input all of this to the computer, but you don't need to stay" So I left.
So Mr Maestro, can we have some "We are waiting for Centrelink" music if you please ...........

Ever think when Centrelink is talking to you, your just going around in circles.
They rang me this morning regarding the change of stream DES-ESS vs DES-DMS.
Them: "What you need to do is go to your appointment and see if the new DES provider can help"
Me: "But they aren't a ESS provider, they aren't going to provide the on-going support I need"
Them: "Well you can talk about that on your first appointment"
Me: "But why was my stream changed when for the past three years I have been on ESS"
Them: "What you need to do is go to your appointment and see if the new DES provider can help"
Me: "You know you haven't actually answered my question, don't you"
Them: "Well if you don't like the new provider you can ring the Employment Dept and they will change your provider - I can give you the number"
Me "So the Employment Dept will change my stream back to ESS"?
Them: "No, just the provider of DMS - What you need to to do go to your appointment and see if the new DES provider can help"
Me: "What do I need to do to get my stream changed back to ESS so I can stay with the provider I have been working with for the past 2 years".
Them: "What you need to do is go to your appointment and see if the new DES provider can help"
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh

Would not being an ESS provider be legitimate grounds for not liking them? You could go to the Employment department without going to the new provider then.

And the farce continues.
I rung the NEW DES provider on the off chance that the NEW provider has some transport thing in place (because it will take me 1 train, 3 buses, walking over a km and about 90 minutes to get there) .
Today, I have spoken to Centrelink twice and the Dept of Employment and neither informed me what the new DES provider informed me about.
I am exempt from attending DES Provider appointments indefinitely!!!

If you don't laugh at the b's you'd cry.

Their plan is designed around people accepting their first line of bullshit and giving up.
No doubt the new DES provider will still charge the taxpayer for an appointment though.

Did you see the detail of the woman, Russo, that former Minister Ley was visiting. Russo has made whatever squillion dollars out of this whole scam. Far outski.

denis said sorry for laughing but no apologies from me for GGGGGRRRRRing. AGAIN. Twice i spoke to dept of Human services recently with complaints and both were as circular as a tennis ball. Around and round we went. We somehow need to get recordings of these 100% totally pointless calls because no one would ever believe them without proof. Banjo again spot on and I'm sure this continues because most people do give in after the first bull tish. Don't give up anyone please. This defies any belief on the planet.

They're trained to do broken record. Resolving the issue is not their goal; getting you off the phone is.
No appointments...telephone conversation mentioning you had the points...I'm trying not to get too hopeful for you (in a good way!)

Okay, so even though I'm a bit wary .... I think Centrelink has granted me DSP. Knowing all the stuff ups that have been going on, I thought I'd double check my Centrelink account to make sure I didn't have to do the "Fortnightly Reporting" for NewStart. And the "Fortnight Report" button has disappeared. And the amount I'm being paid is WAAAAAAAAAY more than I usually get. So I checked the "Payments" record and it's changed from NewStart to Pension Although I'm not going to believe it until I get the letter - Guys, I think I've had a win !!!!
If I didn't have a buggered leg, I'd find a table to dance on.
Many thanks to all of you that have been there for me with help, support and encouragement. I think I might have quit the whole debacle without you. Thank You
