Hi DSP and OAP'ers
It has been a while and although life much like the world moves on so must we. Recently we became Grandparents again, however this little bundle is a bundle in NZ. We have been asked if we can come on over for a while and help. Given we receive DSP and Carers I am wondering if we moved over will we continue getting our payments as is? will they be less (I realise they cut the supplements) do we have to apply under the international agreement? I read on C/L that they simply adjust payments for those in NZ without needing too but you can never be sure. Is NZ considered part of the 4 weeks limit etc.
Any help and easy to understand information would be greatly appreciated. We are thinking if it is do-able heading start of next year selling up etc you get the idea
Thanks in advance

You need to talk to International Services Kas, ring them on 131 673
Moving to any country on the DSP is complex and you need to discuss it with Centrelink.
Congrats on the new grandchild.

My partner has applied to be a prison officer in NZ (a surprise for me I can tell you). Centrelink website seems to suggest that it's as simple as filling in a form and then jumping on a plane. 20 points in one table if that makes a difference. Anybody have experience in this area?
