Went to Philippines Bureau of Immigration today at their Mactan Island Lapu-Lapu office at Gaissano Grand Mall.
The cash cost was an amazing PHP 7,340 for 6 months. About AUD$ 200 or AUD$ 33 per month.
First time I have done a 6 month extension.
In June 2017, when I get another 6 month Visa renewal I will also have to pay for an annual Allien Card, ACR-I Card.
The Philippines have streamlined their processing procedures big time.
But it took about 12 hours to travel there, do the stuff, eat some late lunch and travel back.
Wish I could do it on the internet.

When i first went to Immigration in Cebu , to extend visa, at Mandauie Office, men had to wear long pants , shoes , collared shirts. Women had to be respectfully dressed. In 2015 , when i went with my filipina wife , the office had relocated to G Mall, Mandauie. I turned up in long pants , and i saw many foreigners in shorts . The rules had changed. Now , men and women can wear shorts. Very relaxed atmosphere. Long wait , but very courteous staff..

I still dress up for immigration.
You ever see any Asian people in there in shorts and thongs?

I still dress up for immigration. You ever see any Asian people in there in shorts and thongs? I always dress what I guess might be called 'smart casual', even if it is down to the local market. Though locally I will wear thongs as long as they are clean and look 'smart'. When I go to Immigration I have done the full long pants, socks and shoes (or sneakers) type thing but since the relax they let me in with open toed sandals. At Lapu-Lapu office, which I have most frequented and they are pretty relaxed, I saw a bloke get ejected for wearing thongs/flip flops and basically a coloured singlet. Mind you, around home I just wear basically boxer shorts and no top at all.

Last time I was at immigration with my wife, we were both dressed smart casual. Long pants. There were many Filipina wives, girl friends of foreigners , in shorts , thongs sandals. Dressed like they were going to the beach.
G mall Mandauie, is a busy immigration office.
