Me thinks the time for change has arrived. As we address more issues involving Centrelink abuses and heavy-handedness maybe DSPoverseas doesn't quite cut the mustard. Suggestions? I'm not keen on anything with Centrelink in it although it will bring more hits on the forum. Key words... Australian, Aussie, pensioners, activists, support, welfare..... ??

Maybe we should have a whole new board? That way new members won't have to go through all the residency information, if it is not relevant to them. We could still monitor this one, and direct people to it from the other board, as a resource or discussions specific to the living abroad issues. Are we still only trying to attract people on DSP, or are we planning to also support other pensioners? I imagine you 'old farts' would be still wanting to help those on the OAP. Hey what about this Disability supported by Centrelink. It has got the name Centrelink in it, but will it contravene Centrelink naming rights?

What seems to be a plan is that we set up a pensioner website with links to several forums. That would let the individual message boards be administrated by people directly concerned with the issues... portability and work requirements for the DSP for example, with out the distraction of what doesn't concern them.
