Not knowing the exact situation you are in Grace I'll suggest , firstly, don't panic.
If you are Under 35, DSP has a "compulsory participation" clause attached to it. Usually it's a Participation Plan saying you are doing some work focused activity.
"DSP Recipients (Compulsory Requirements) aged under age 35 with a current work capacity of eight or more hours a week must undertake their compulsory participation requirements to remain qualified for DSP."
If you are on DSP and if the appointment is with a DES Provider, they will probably do a Job Plan with you. This is the case if you are on NewStart as well (at any age).
Anyway, it's all got to do with "Compulsory Participation" and the appointment will be for documentation about what/when and with who you do any participation you are required to do.

www.humanservices.gov.au/organisations/about-us/budget/budget-2014-15/budget-measures/disability-and-carers/disability-support-pension-compulsory-participation-requirementsDescription of the measure From 1 July 2014 Disability Support Pension (DSP) recipients under 35 years of age with an assessed work capacity of eight or more hours a week, will be required to participate in activities that will help them find and keep a job. Eligible DSP recipients will be required to have a participation plan which includes compulsory activities with a focus on employment. Compulsory activities may include, but are not limited to: Work for the Dole job search work experience education or training connection with a Disability Employment Service or Job Services Australia Under existing rules, DSP recipients under the age of 35 are required to have a participation plan and to attend regular interviews with the department. This measure will strengthen these requirements by making activities compulsory and focusing on improving a customer’s ability to find and maintain work. The new requirements will commence for eligible customers at their next DSP participation interview. DSP recipients who were granted on manifest grounds, or who are assessed as having a work capacity of less than eight hours per week, are excluded.
