Whingeing ? Gimme a break here.... My point was that I have seen Changi Airport touted as the most user-friendly airport in the world, with space to sleep overnight, yet it was very much not so. I think that Transit passengers "airside" may have better conditions.

Yes nomadic you are right, I might be one of the envious people I think......not envious of sleeping on the airport floor or chairs. lol
Maybe you all need to invest in some of those blow up couches and pillows that are available these days for a fairy reasonable price. Hahaha you probably would not care where you had to lay down after blowing one of those up!
Forget the blow up couch idea, it was poorly thought out. LOL

Must admit I've never slept on an airport floor, too damned hard,
I love traveling and being in most airports to me it's all part
of the experience, Changi is definitely my favourite, but I do try and keep
transit times to an absolute minimum

I was having a go at aussies in general L.D. And when it comes to airports I'm one of the worse. Yes I agree Singapore is no different from all the others unless you are rich and possibly only travel now and again. It's still exciting for a few times and i was airside on industrial carpets as loud announcements came on every 10 minutes or so telling people not to leave bags unattended. That was at least 5 years ago and I said never again and so far so good unless a real bargain fare turns up.

I think i'll put this guys story in our letter to HREOC. No matter how badly off you are there is always someone worse off. the human race really does defy belief in how cruel it can be. But News is only champion of the emotion based heart string stories.

Sure ! Look at what happened (and to a certain extent is still happening) to the American Indians !
But in the cases I mentioned, it seems somehow more awful. Just think of the many sad individual stories in those countries.
And in the case of what China is doing in Tibet, quite pernicious....in the exact meaning of that word :
adjective. Having a harmful effect, especially in a gradual or subtle way.
