while i was listenening to clink music for a long long time i also caught up with the news. they call it multi tasking with windows. It seems the torture in Cambodia is akin to calling clink. bear will like this comparison i am sure as most others will also. And i'm not trying to belittle the poor soul in Cambodia in any way. Just that both are a total disgrace in their own way. Torture to all concerned. But i guess i'd prefer clink than a Cambodian jail. Even if he is guilty it is totally unacceptable as is listening to clink for ages and then getting no where even when you do get through. GROWL X 100 times louder. www.abc.net.au/news/2018-01-22/australian-filmmaker-moved-to-cell-with-140-prisoners/9349946

Totally unacceptable nomadic on both counts!
Australia in the 21st century, as a multicultural society should be playing a mix of good ol' Aussie pub rock mixed with modern Thai, African beats, indigenous bands like Yothu Hindi etc. and Fakir Ali Khan. Works for me, everyday. Captain Cooks been dead for three hundred years. That chamber music sends sane people ting tong and is proven to be a bigger cause of diahorrea than salmonella. Cheers bear

I've moved this thread as I can see an opportunity to use it to warn people planning to move overseas who may be a little too starry eyed about where they are going. Cambodia is a virtual dictatorship, Thailand is still ruled by the military and the Philippines police summarily execute people in the streets. I'd hate members to get involved in local issues and end up being nostalgic for Centrelink's chamber music while sharing a filthy cell with 40 others and fighting over a bowl of rice.

not nostalgic though banjo. as many today on welfare sharing rooms in homeless hostels or roadside city doorways as i see every time i go back and not enough to eat also. Being nostalgic i think means enjoying old but good memories. Like North winning in 1975 or getting the cups double in early 90's. nothing good about listening to clink music in years to come. the thought puts chills through me.
