There is a couple of others as well. I have used the myGov entry point from when it first started.

I certainly think it's the best option. As you have said Denis, "Entry Point", to whatever services you wish to link, or not!

The real reason I did it because I figured if I have access to these other gubmint departments then C/Link will find it harder to wipe my record. LOL. I get a bit paranoid sometimes but all of us deal with life as best we can. Cheers and best wishes to all members of the forum.

The reason I have not opened one of these MyGov accounts is that I am sometimes a little paranoid. Online stuff makes me rather uncomfortable, especially with personal information and centrelink.

I know people who wont pay for stuff online because of this but I suspect it's about as safe/unsafe as putting your card into an ATM. Centrelink's computer is outdated so it's probably easier to hack than anywhere the MyGov info goes. I just use my fallback safety device... my bank account details would not be worth the time taken to hack them.

I may open a MyGov account and link my Centrelink Account.
But I will never, never never ever link Medicare, E-health and ATO accounts together with my Centrelink Account.
Never, ever ever ever.
This has come from experience on how the government handles private information. Their total lack of skill using / building technological solutions Their total lack of accountability
My opinion is they have only brought this in to make data matching easier and to support their position in less employees. I'll go with my first thought of "If the government want this, it's probably not going to be good for anyone except the government".
So sorry, not a bloody chance.

Golly Banjo, do you mean I can stop trying to hack your account. Damn.

In my circumstances I wanted access to Medibank and eHealth because I didn't trust C/Link to not loose that information and once I had it through myGov thingy I downloaded whatever was there. But I appreciate your reluctance to not go outside C/Link. But I can send them a message now and I think that is the best thing about myGov. Cheers.
