Nice find itsa! That's a rather exhaustive list, very helpful for people on review or new applications.
They do however seem to be somewhat aligned with what I'd personally expect to see from "Big Insurance" and some of the rejections we've seen posted about on here should have qualified for DSP, even if not manifestly.
The big problem is, living with disabilities is not so cut and dried as the law. The personal circumstances don't come into it anymore, that's what makes it so inhumane, because without them, all we are to them, are a number on a claim form! Cheers bear

I'm interested to understand the old points system! OK, you get DSP with twenty points, either on one or over multiple tables; forty points see you as severely disabled and in some cases (maybe on one table) Manifest. So just where does sixty-five points sit you at; across multiple tables?
Hindsight is wonderful thing! Cheers bear

As i remember what legal aid told me circa 2005/6 With no mention of any tables. If you got 20 points you got DSP, if you got 45 or more you were deemed severely disabled. But it seems my file under FOI in 2012 deemed me manifest from day one (my lawyers words) which was 1996 from my point of view. But not sure of the exact date it actually is was on the file. So again Mai khao Jai. = i don't understand. When did you get 65 points bear? If before 2012 then i would have "thought" severe or manifest. If before 2004 then certainly.

I don't know points my determination was made under originally in 2000 but on review in 2002-3, Dec-Jan; with Commonwealth Medical Officer, Centrelink determined 65 points over multiple tables. I will attempt to submit the appropriate pages to you in regards the other matters! Cheers bear

My experience here in dealing with manifest grants is that the recipients are usually incapable of caring for them selves. nomadic, the system has doubtlessly changed over the years, while I appreciate your level of disability I'd doubt that you would qualify under the current rules.

I have been under a mistaken belief HIV & Intellectual Levels were removed in the current system, but obviously not. Cheers bear Manifest grantsDSP may only be granted without the need for further assessment in the following LIMITED CIRCUMSTANCES. Manifest grants may only be made where a person has: a terminal illness (life expectancy of less than 2 years with significantly reduced work capacity during this period), permanent blindness (meets the test for permanent blindness for social security purposes), an intellectual disability where medical evidence clearly indicates an IQ of less than 70, an assessment indicating that they require nursing home level care (see note below), category 4 HIV/AIDS, or is in receipt of a DVA disability pension at special rate (totally and permanently incapacitated (TPI)). guides.dss.gov.au/guide-social-security-law/3/6/2/20
