I was told from day one that 90% of those with ABI lose 100% of their previous friends. That for me is 100% true. Firstly I was upset but maybe if it was the other way round I would have dumped them also. So I tend to not worry about it any more as I'm abnormally happy because of my ABI anyhow. But obviously others who still have their brain intact do suffer in the same way. People really are scared of disabled people no matter in which way. But sadly it is something that need not happen that hurts even more. Dealing with Satanlink. Wouldn't it be better if Clink left us alone after we get our rightful things and friends stayed loyal rather than the other way round? A perfect world? No chance.

nomadicI like you and I like to think your my friend. Mind you I've managed to upset most of the ex-pats at the foreigner bar here in Argao. Not all mind you... just the one's that like to be popular. Some people take life so serious!

Thanks, denis, I have new friends. Was only the old ones who didn't like the new person because they are different. I hope we can have a beer together one day. I keep thinking of a visit but so many choices when I am so nomadic. If only I can come into some money the choices would be easier. Next visa run is to meet a friend in Bangkok and a coffee with banjo. Then Oz booked for 3 months after that and another year half gone already.

LOL
I'm just a rock and I'm impressed by your wanderings and enjoy hearing about them.
It takes a long time for a rock to move and speak.
Shout you one of my coffees. lol

Denis-NFA nomadic 's wanderings impress me as well. There are places I need to go from time to time obviously.....but throw me a curve ball, where I need to organise something in a couple of days, I'm almost gauranteed to have an apoplectic fit. Not nice. I think they call 'em panic attacks nowadays. Cheers bear

Pack your bag the day before and off you go. Easy peasy. Except to get cheap airfares need advance planning. But buses and trains? Just turn up and get the next one. No plan needed when time is on your side. Stuck somewhere for a night or two. Who cares? Maybe not in Western countries but here there is an accommodation place nearby always as long as you don't want 5 star. No more enjoyable place to stay than the $20.00 a night Joynt at the Chiang Mai bus station. Cheap street food and beer. 50 metre walk to the bus the next morning. If my brain can do this anyone can. But I may be a bit strange in some of the places I enjoy as I don't see any other tourists staying in these places. But again for me, that makes it even better. If I want a chat I can pop down to Chiang Mai gate for a $1.00 taxi ride at 5.00 for a beer with a Koala. If he can put up with me for an hour (Bear me)? Probably in less than a month again. I still have to pinch myself as to what has happened in the last 25 years. Five flights in total when I was making $1,000 a week which was 3 times the usual pay and since being under the poverty line almost 300. Two more next month and 3 already booked in the new year. I think it would amaze most people in Oz who have never travelled. Even I find it hard to believe until I think how cheap it is to live here.
