The good doctor doesn't know what he's talking about. Currently there is a push for vaccination that allows three shots of your preferred combination. This program is for people that have never had a shot. My original program had a third shot option on the paperwork; the same paperwork that wasn't reunited with me upon getting the second shot and receipt of my vaccine certificate. Upon contacting the same office about a week ago, where the first two shots were arranged, I was told that I'm eligible and I'll get an SMS when our cohort is booked in. This program is only for the unvaccinated; irrespective of what you may read or be told on expat forums or in casual conversation. Cheers bear Unfortunately I don't have any links, other than things like this attachment.

When an update isn't an update but rather a wait and see...... Cheers bear
The government will expedite COVID-19 booster shots to strengthen people’s immunity in preparation for any local transmission of the Omicron coronavirus variant.
Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Ministry Anutin Charnvirakul said yesterday that the time for administering a second COVID-19 vaccine shot and a booster will be reduced from four to six months to three months.
The move is aimed at assuring the public that even if the new variant spreads, the booster shots will help prevent the worst effects of the virus, Mr Charnvirakul said.
He was speaking before attending a meeting of the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) to provide an update on the Omicron strain and preparations for administering booster shots.
Asked whether the emergence of Omicron will affect New Year festivities, he said that the government will try to allow as many activities as possible to go ahead while monitoring the new strain closely.
Public health agencies were also instructed to study how serious symptoms caused by the Omicron variant are, Mr Charnvirakul said.
If they’re not as severe as previous variants, people should be able to continue with their normal life as they are now, the minister said.
Eight imported cases of the Omicron variant have so far been confirmed in Thailand while another three imported cases are pending confirmation, but local transmission has not been reported yet, according to the Department of Disease Control (DDC).
Dr Udom Kachintorn, adviser to the CCSA, said that it will be difficult for Thailand to avoid the new variant and more imported cases are expected to arrive.
Omicron has been reported in more than 60 countries, he said.
Taweesilp Visanuyothin, spokesman for the CCSA, said that an estimated 100 million vaccine doses will be administered to Thais by next Monday.
For next year, there will be enough vaccines for at least 80% of the Thai population, with 120 million doses already approved for the national vaccination drive, Dr Visanuyothin said.
He added that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha also instructed agencies to plan a fourth vaccine shot for next year as vaccine manufacturers will come up with new vaccine production technologies to fight the virus.

Latest update on boosters in Chiang Mai. If you were from out of province for your first two; better get your skates on. I'm only the messenger; though It doesn't look like Pfizer is on the menu as yet for a booster though. A fluent translator should be able to set you straight and I'm having mine call the Thai Only pH line to verify the information below. Cheers bear COVID booster shot walk-ins are now available to those who had a SV + AZ mix as well as those who had two shots of AZ, SV and Sinopharm. Must have had the last shot at least 90 days/ three months prior to qualify.
The booster shot for those who took SV + AZ is AZ while those who took double AZ, SV or Sinopharm, the booster is Pfizer.
Locations - * Central Airport * Nakorn Ping Hospital * Suanprung Hospital * Neurological Hospital * Mother and Child Hospital
Available times are in order of the translation above with times on the RHS of the infographic i.e. Central Airport: 14-17th between 8.00 - 15.00; Neurological Hospital: 4th only between 8.00 - 12.00 etc.

I'm told I can get the booster here but no idea which one it will be. 3 months for me next week. Again, no idea what to do after first 2 were Fizer. If that's what some know it alls are telling you, why don't you put them on the spot for answers?? When, where, what type?? Or go to the appropriate place and find out from the horse's mouth. Going on the infographic of pick your own combo I'd think the answer would be clear......the only option with two Pfizers looks to be a third Pfizer. Though as TIT whether there's Pfizer currently available for boosters will be the determining factor. Cheers bear
