So the world is opening up..... People are going on holidays again. Great!! A member has just brought the following link provided information to my attention, and like them I'm stunned, perplexed and seriously wonder whether the government isn't trying to stop OS travel through this raft of new conditions to allow re-entry into Australia. Before booking any holidays, may I suggest familiarizing yourself with the requirements and deciding whether OS travel is for you at the moment. Though there is every chance these requirements will be with us for some time yet, given the ongoing situation. Do you think the below conditions are particularly onerous, designed to overwhelm and cause fear etc.etc. All opinions gratefully accepted!! Cheers bear

Fully vaccinated is different to up to date how? I am skimming through and not reading properly because I am just looking for the simplest of answers before bothering with taking in the more in depth rules and requirements for overseas travel.
Can anyone tell me if they let you out and back in to Australia if you are not vaccinated?
I was asked the other day by someone who lives a very alternative life to most- totally self sufficient, nomadic and non reliant on technology or society in any way- so keeping up with this stuff is less of a priority for them than it is for me and I honestly do not really have a clue what is happening outside of my home town.

These links will go part of the way to answer those two questions mspurple; so long as things don't change while you're outside of the country. Maybe engage a migration agent or similar; though I'm sure they'd be the same as tax agents and accept no responsibility because it'd be your info that'd cause any stuff up, not their processing of it. This stuff is all way above my pay grade and it hurts my head just thinking about it. This information is for Australian citizens and permanent residents who do not meet Australia’s definition of fully vaccinated for international travel purposes.

Thanks Bear- they make it no clearer for me lol.
From what I understand you can not leave the country or come into the country if you are not vaccinated unless you have a medical exemption?

Where does someone without a smartphone stand with all this? Me. Looks like no nomadic for me as yet.
