Knowing that after 6 weeks overseas they cut off the energy supplement and something else.
What about after longer periods, say 28 weeks?
TIA

Is that $1926 per month or a typo? I only get $926 a fortnight. No difference on time away for me.

Pension supplement reduces to the 'Basic Rate' after 6 weeks away. The rate is different depending on your situation, but generally speaking it reduces by two thirds. In my situation, I usually get $76 a fortnight as a pension supplement which reduces to around $26 after I've been out of Australia more than 6 weeks. The minute you get back, it automatically goes back up to your normal rate. Here's a table with the different pension supplement payment rates: www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/how-much-pension-supplement-you-can-get?context=22321And here's the explanation about it reducing after 6 weeks: www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/travel-outside-australia-rules-for-pension-supplement?context=22321Also, if you aren't classified as severely disabled (20 Points on one table) and the disabling even occurred when you weren't an Australian resident, then your payment will 'proportionalise' after 26 weeks according to how many years of 'Australian Working life Residence (AWLR) you have accrued. That's really complicated, so if you have I.P. (meaning you are classified as 'severely disabled'), and if the disabling event occurred while you were an Australian resident, then you don't have to worry about that.

That's copied straight off my MyGov page. I've not been back for 5 or 6 years.

Have you made a typo nomadic and forgotten the 1 because in Oz a monthly payment currently fluctuates; i.e. Pensions 16 March 2023 $2,038.90/Pensions 16 February 2023 $2,053.00, but is mainly the higher number. Crunching the numbers I fully agree with Banjo and if your only getting $926 p/f a trip to the office is well in order. My last payment of $926 was back in September '22. Cheers 🐻

The AUD is losing value. With over a trillion dollars in national deficit they just print more money to get out of debt. If the value of our dollar drops even further, along with the highest inflation for most countries in 30 years, it will put our survival skills to the test.
Cheers

Cheers J Expats holding visa/extension sureties in local banks will probably be okay J, though going on this report the survival skills of some Thais may be put to the test though probably not for most; since hunter gathering is still in vogue and with herbs, garnishes and vegetables growing wild; the pot is complete.
