Hi I was recently granted DSP I then applied for indefinite portability I was contacted by centrelink for a JCA phone appointment The conversation was very short and brief and the assessor said at the end of our conversation hopefully you will be under less stress after I write my report and send it to centrelink. That sounded positive to me because the assessor sounded very empathetic with my condition and what centrelink has put me through. But my question is how long after the JCA should I expect to hear back from Centrelink for those who have already been through this process. My phone appointment was on 10/Nov/2023 Thank you

G'day bibi ........ to the forum!! You should have asked the empathetic assessor you were speaking to only yesterday; then you could've have gotten a more definitive timeline. We can only guess from the latest data we have on your question, which is that it could be from as little as two weeks or as long as three months; depending on the assessor's work ethic in writing and sending on the report, fast approaching festive season etc.. As a heads up, whenever phoning Centrelink always ask for a receipt number for the call before letting them go. This will ensure the call will not be deleted during routine maintenance and will be placed on your file forevermore for future reference if required. My suggestion is to give Centrelink International Services (CIS) a call in a month (1316 73) if you've not heard from them by then. Cheers 🐻
