Hello everyone, I'm Michelle. I am a 22 year old Australian woman on the DSP. My disability is severe (0-7 hours) and permanent, although it is not a visible disability. At the moment I live at Byron Bay, but I have been travelling often to South East Asia, as I am not far from Gold Coast Airport and those cheap Air Asia airfares. I have been thinking about moving permanently to South East Asia, and these new Unlimited Portability laws which are about to be passed are a very welcome opportunity for improving my life. Of course the much lower cost of living is one of the biggest advantages of living in South East Asia, but there is also the rich and exotic cultures which I find myself increasingly absorbed and drawn into. The people are very lovely and so polite, and they have much greater respect and kindness towards disabled people, as well as respect and kindness for the elderly. I am trying to decide whether to live in one of the Indonesian Islands, possibly Lombok or Bali, or in the Nusa Tengarra Islands, or otherwise I may choose to live in Myanmar, as I have been hearing many nice things about the changes happening this year, Myanmar is opening up to the world and the people are so friendly. So nice to meet you...
