Dear Banjo,
I have been visiting this website for a while, but I noticed that when people come to this website to ask questions about Centrelink, the answers are usually bewildered, confused, inconclusive, or even erroneous. And then there is usually the stock standard reply, "Don't ask us, we haven't got a clue....go and ask Centrelink or Welfare Rights".
And then I have noted there is this "Marion" lady from Centrelink who apparently trawls the internet for 'social media' sites, where she then registers and answers peoples questions about Centrelink. Apparently she works in a team inside Centrelink, a team which apparently spends all of their time answering questions about Centrelink which appear on the internet.
But I note that "Marion" has apparently never appeared on this website.
May I make a suggestion? Perhaps Banjo could approach "Marion" and ask her if she would like to have her own section here on this website, where she could try to answer questions about Centrelink.
There may be some negotiations involved, including rules about politeness, civility and respect for Marion. I note that in some of Banjo's 2000 or so posts, he has often talked about civility and politeness. There is much more to be gained from constructive engagement and a sensible, informed discussion of Centrelink issues, rather than blindly attacking and fighting, or using abusive and insulting language.
I think the positive benefits would be very great, including an increased profile for this website, and greatly increased membership numbers, as people join up to ask and discuss with Marion. But probably the biggest improvement will be to provide good quality, reliable information about Centrelink rules and regulations, for Disability Pensioners who are often in the dark about this.
Just my thoughts anyway...

Banjo approached Centrelink early on in the formation of this forum, offering to provide uptodate information to our members, provided to us by them, as a service to us both. They declined. We laugh at Marion on this forum. Her's are stock standard answers to every question about Centrelink procedure. Centrelink are quite happy to give those answers out. We give the answers of experience, and were originally a group of disgruntled customers trying to address unfair laws. Centrelink responded by attacking some of us personally, through our payments and circumstance. They spy on our posts, and continue to give out misleading, or inconclusive information to all concerned, and fail to act co-operatively at most times. You can find Marion at Yahoo Questions. Why do you come here, if you say all of our answers are crappy? We never set out to be a mere information service. Centrelink information is only a link away, on their own site.

Hi Abigail, the parameters of this board are fairly clear, we offer suggestions, we offer support and share our problems. We have never claimed to be qualified to help people on a professional level so we try to direct those who need it to the appropriate sources. You may consider starting your own forum, a simple procedure through Proboards, if ours doesn't meet your requirements.

Marion is no longer with Centrelink, they found out that she was disclosing correct information and sacked her. Lol, Banker Poor Marion, she should have appealed the decision. Now she will have to sign up with a corrupt employment agency, and jump through hoops to get her payments ... and theirs.

Jeez, I never knew C/L had an opportunity to assist people on these boards and declined. Not a good look for them at all.
