Pension worry

But he said some older Australians would be hurt by changes to the rules for pensioners who travel overseas.
"Currently you can go overseas for 13 weeks without incurring any reduction in your pension by loss of what's called the pensioner supplement," he said.
"They've cut that back to six weeks and we think in terms of pensioners who might need to travel for a family crisis or perhaps a holiday to see the grandchildren, that's just a penny-pinching measure really."
