Applied for mine n the 17 April. Receipt received 18th April but 47 days on I am still waiting for its arrival. If it has not arrived before SSAT appeal date can I delay the hearing?

I had two days to prepare for the SSAT after mine arrived. I'd be pushing for the file rather than delaying the Tribunal.

Centrelink, as I just emailed you, why don't you get Welfare Rights to get on their case? Bear in mind that there may be someone in Centrelink who wants you to have that file with as little as possible time to prepare for the SSAT. Mine arrived days before my SSAT and one of the key points in my appeal was hidden away in it.

My SSAT hearing is set for Wednesday 20th June. The FOI file from Centrelink is probably sitting in their out box. However, SSAT have proved efficient in posting me out their copy along with the guidelines of the hearing. The only loophole that I can see is the media release last year saying we all needed to be back in Australia by Jan 1 2012. Taking Centrelink at their word that should be the date that we are assessed on for residency.

to lynne, they gave us 6 months grace to adjust our travelling which ended on the 1/1/2012??
so when you talk to the SSAT only let them use your previous travelling from the 1st of july 2011,pre that date you were abiding by the law at the time??( i think i am right on this issue)??
anyone want to comment on this??

I'll work on that information page next year, we use a lot of abbreviations assuming people know what we mean.
