Multiple disabilities and the difference between dsp and carers portability are 2 things it would be amazing to see addressed. That carers can have multiple 6 week paid portability periods but the dsp recipient is cit off after 28 days puts the dsp recipient in a financially vulnerable position - particularly when so many are more open to abuse. If you were going to write I'd do it fairly soon after the new ministers are announced.... you know, new broom etc. After a few months they tend to get a bit indifferent.

Excuse if this is an ignorant question, but given that Tassie was a Liberal clean sweep last night would writing to the local Federal MP be of any use or would it be to the Social Security minister?

It needs a big law firm to take up the case under the United Nations as Their charter says the disabled should be allowed to live where they want and to travel freely but Australia while signing up to it never ratified it into local law. Hypocritical at best. Yes, they will say you are free to go just that you will have no money to do it. That means exactly the same thing. 4 weeks a year only.

Swearing inThe incoming prime minister, Anthony Albanese, was receiving high-level briefings from public service officials on Sunday – and is set to be quickly sworn in on Monday with four of his most senior ministers: Richard Marles, Penny Wong, Jim Chalmers and Katy Gallagher. All ministerial portfolios will be divvied up among them before the final election results are tallied (the Labor caucus is expected to decide on the membership of the full ministry on 30 May).As Albanese noted on Sunday, the division of all ministerial portfolios had been worked out “as an interim arrangement with the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, because you can’t have a circumstance whereby there aren’t ministers”. A lot of those Tasmanian seats are considered winnable by either party, I'd say you were probably at an advantage, at least to receive a reply.
