soon im bringing my wife and son to australia. I dont want to, but i have to due to the new rules were all facing. maybe some miracle will come about and Ill be able to stay with my family and live on dsp in asia, but i doubt it.
Im in oz at the moment and over the past week ive been watching tv about whats happening to ouir kids here. the kids literacy rates are shocking. most kids write in abbreviated txt language.
just tonight there was a show on about the kids running riot in shopping centres. these are young kids in gangs punching the crap out of each other.
I dont know about you guys but I see the youth in Asia as being miles above the kids here in oz. The kids n asia have respect for the elderly and thier fellow countrymen.
and this is what I have to look forward to, having to raise my son in a country that Im loosing respect for.
just how much worse are things going to get? im really feeling down about this whole residency thing...

The opportunities for a decent education are here though. All you can do is be there for them, lead by example and make sure they know right from wrong.

What are we going to do about the changes that we see taking place in the world many of which are discordant and disturbing?
Do what the Buddha instructed and follow the practice of Non Attachment of the mind to the world.
If one dances to the reflection of the discordant things that one sees in the world, one will not only be unhappy, but also sick and poor because the world is unhappy sick and poor..................poor in happiness if not poor in material goods.
Sickness and poverty come from reflecting back to one's world what one sees and thinks, and joining one's mind to that milieu.
For kids, the cleansing of the mind has great benefits of removing delinquency and unhappiness and improving mental capacity.
Look up David Lynch foundation for many examples of this.
The Vipassana movement is another good example. Much information available on Youtube.
