Golly gosh after 13 weeks outside of australia and returning to homeshores ..... ring ICL but no one seems to want to talk to you....they will give you a return call. So next day I did get a call back ;D from a lady to be told.... you have two options go to AAT apply for a stay of appeal for your pension but if you lose you will have to pay the government back every cent back.... second option? No second option. No mention of newstart or other options. So where is the plans for non residents under ICL to survive.... guess one goes hungry and resorts to crime..... now I drum my fingers?? Which department can I become the biggest pain in the arse for??? OOOOOOOO let me think Member of Parliament.... newspapers.... AHHH I do believe Gilliard is going to Bali in October for the 2002 ceremony of the bali bombing victims and this lady has just made a recipient of someone who received a medal of bravery, for the evacuation and identification our kids...leaving me .homeless, destitute... blah blah blah .... and she thinks she will get brownie points for laying a wreath... nah. AND golly gosh.... here I am in NT under a newly elected LIBERAL party.... and an ear to the Jakarta Post.

When I entered the country under similar circumstances last year I asked Immigration if they considered me a resident. They assured me I most certainly was.
Time to start work Lynne, make an appointment with a politician now, your Federal MP if you're on the electoral roll or a state Senator. See how sympathetic they are.
If you don't want to make the long haul to the AAT ask what your DSP options are, see if Centrelink will cut a deal.
Don't worry about Centrelink debt... how can you pay it back if you're not on the pension? When back on a benefit tell them you're that broke you can't even afford to pay the absolute minimum, $20 a fortnight I think I was paying.

Give them HELL as they deserve it as too many people are being subjected to these harsh decision. If you are back in Bali first week December hope to catch up with you.
