Hi Guys and Girls, I went through my assessment in mid August. It was a painful experience as I had to wait about 20-30 minutes no seats, (mind you I can’t seat, but standing for long time is just as bad) and it wasn’t my good days. The assessor didn’t had any of my medical history not one medical report, so my wife give her about 10-12 pages to copy. But since that I haven’t heard anything, not a phone call nothing. I am wondering how long this whole process usually takes? What harm I’m doing if I call them, which I did once after 2 months and they told me November or December because they have so many people waiting. My nerves are slowly killing me, I don’t think I could fight if C/L rejects my portability, I would rather be just dead. I don’t think these people have any idea what are they doing to us, or they do and if I kick the bucket in the process it is one less pensioner which has to be paid. Anyone has any input how long this can take? Don’t misunderstand me I am not in a hurry to go, but this is just not fear to do this with people let them wait for months, while if you been asked to undergo the assessment you have 4-6 weeks to provide all the necessary doctors report and paperwork, while depending what sort of specialist you see sometimes you have to wait months to get an appointment. C/L called me 2 times before the date expired to ask me where are my papers.......... Probably won’t do any good if I call them every week? ? I would appreciate it if anyone can help. Thanks and Regards Bluey

There's some talk of people waiting over three months now, Centrelink hasn't renewed the contracts of a lot of their casual employees who used to work the phones so the work is banking up. Call them by all means but I don't hold out a lot of hope for a quick reply.
I'm not sure if you have the password for the closed portability forum so I'll send it by PM.
