Where do you usually go to reset Denis-NFA ?? bearSince being granted UP in August 2013 I have only left once which was August 2016 and I went to Hong Kong. Only did the overnight thing and slept in the airport. Because I'm on the island of Cebu I look for flights from Cebu City airport because otherwise I have to fly Cebu City -> Manila and then overseas and it is a 'pain' for me to do the Manila run. Just renewed my visa and Alien Registration Card today and that 6 month visa takes me through to Feb 2019 when I will renew another 6 months to August 2019 which is when I have to leave again. But I haven't decided where to go yet. I would 'love' to get up to Chang Mai and meet some of the folk on the forum but the number of different trips I would have to make daunts me. I am trying to 'kid' my son to meet me in Darwin with his daughter who will be 3 by then, I'm a grandfather. Probably end up going back to Hong Kong but early days planning. Cheers Denis

Mate, I don't have contact with much of my family either. It took me years to work out where they are coming from and it is personally disappointing to consider their limitations. But I think we all have something to contribute. Cheers Denis

By the way. I am ticked off with the incompetent politicians AND so called public servants whom are destroying the value of the OZ$. They cannot even use the excuse that it helps the manufacturing industry because we haven't got one, it just puts more money into the personal pockets of the miners.

Banjo, The destruction of Australian manufacturing is the greatest criminal abomination ever. So called 'miners' like the turd heads that are quoted here pale into insignificance when you look at a mob called BHPBilliton or the mob that runs Kalgoorlie. Rio Tinto already have their Perth computer setup on the go whereby every bit of production up in the Pilbara is done by robots. AGL brought in an arze that is sucking good money from Australian taxpayers. South Australia, and Australia, is going to pay good money so that the Indian company Gupta will build useless solar electricity. Far outski, one of the largest investors taking money from Australia by way of windmills and solar crap is Saudi Arabia! But hey! Lets blame those useless unemployed, pensioners and particularly those on disability. "/rant off"

17 hours before it stopped for 2 then started again. I heard that the road from Rai to Mai has been damaged and impassable somewhere. There is a detour i think it said via Lampang. Glad i'm not on a border bounce.

none overnight here so hopefully will get my ride done in dry. they predicted it until Sunday. But always someone worse off. 164 dead in Kerala state in Indian floods and 150,000 homeless. As i type and listen to radio i hear news in Melbourne saying a severe weather warning has been issued for parts of the state. Victoria has never ever seen severe weather. They do indeed live in their own tiny world. So sad. The national anthem says droughts and flooding pains. Google Ethiopia famine to see drought and floods here and there. No such thing in comparison in OZ but everybody thinks its the greatest tragedy in history when a few crops fail and sheep die. Google image ethiopia famine to see real human suffering.
