Just thought I would give you guys an up date about my situation.
I called Centerlink and asked them If any changes were to be made as I should go onto the O.A.P. in November.
The answer is the only change will be the name of the Pension I receive and that they will be sending me a review form in about August, which will be about any changes such as funds or investments etc.
I also asked them if this could be emailed to me as the mail here has a bad habit of disappearing "Most of the Time" The answer was a flat No.
The way I see it I have two things in my favor.
1... I got onto the DSP in 1995, left Australia in 2000. So I come under the old rules.
2... This is the very Important one, Im listed as being "Severely Disabled"
Even though it looks as If I will not be affected by the so called new rules I will support you guys in any way I can and I will also continue to pass the word on about your Forum.
Cheers Banker

Thanks mate, I suspect a lot of the guys who have been here for a long time are covered under the "old rules" prior to 2004. I'm a bit pissed off as I was living in Vientiane prior to then.
We may be looking at a worst case scenario, but that doesn't do any harm. Trusting a government department like Centrelink to have our best interests at heart could lead to serious disappointment.
