Reply from Palmer United Party to my email
Dear [myname]
Thank you for your email voicing your concerns about the government’s proposed changes to the disability support pension.
The member for Fairfax strongly believes that we have a duty to support the most vulnerable members of our society and he is committed to continue to vigorously defend the rights of all Australians to a better quality of life. Therefore, Mr Palmer and the Palmer United Party will not support any proposed changes to the DSP.
Mr Palmer is determined to keep on working his hardest to ensure Australia remains a fair and prosperous place for all.
Kind regards
Anne
Office of Clive Palmer MP

If labor agrees the legislation will pass. But honestly if Labor agrees to something which the greens and even Palmer are opposing they face a massive loss in confidence. Hopefully they'll also oppose this. I'm trying to get an answer from them.

to leijona, labour will do nothing,it is obvious that they will let the libs do what they like, and wait for the next election? then come into power and reap the benifits of all of the changes and then sit back and do nothing and maybe hold power for a few terms,i think that is there strategy for the future, labour are p233weak!!

and of course big clive will oppose the pension changes ,knowing full well labour will help them pass, but it makes him look good!! but his rant on Q/A,i know by what he means about all these visa holders coming here an working for a lesser wage than aussie workers, aussie find it hard to compete against it( i meet a lot of FIFO workrs in perth airports over the years??) i think they should stop these working visa types and if it makes a drought of people in those areas of qualifications ,train up aussies to do the jobs!!! thats why you see in backpackers people advfrtising for workers but they must hold a certain type of visa(that way they can pay them less) they need the work or their visa is a problem!!

^ for the sake of all of us I hope you are wrong about Labor. I'm still trying to get an answer from them on this issue.
The greens wrote back to me today and promised they would support us. All we need is Labor and we can breathe easy...
