Merely for information purposes and particularly for those of us that live in the Philippines.
I did a calculation based on the fall in the OZ$ against the US$ from 29/8/2014 to 27/2/2015 and compared that % fall with the fall in OZ$ to PHP so I could work out what local money I might have in the future.
I can give my calculations to anyone that wants them.
This is raw data before any consideration of how you transfer money to the Philippines, and the cost of that transfer.
If the OZ$ goes to USD$ 0.75 then we will receive approximately PHP 32.73;
If the OZ$ goes to USD$ 0.70 then we will receive approximately PHP 30.70;
If the OZ$ goes to USD$ 0.65 then we will receive approximately PHP 28.63.

All the latest talk is that the aussie will go lower. I can remember in the early noughties when it only got US$0.49. thankfully the baht didn't go down as much in comparison. In last 20 years I have seen as low as 17 baht and as high as 37. Anything under 25 makes me shudder but even 17 was better than being on a street in Oz. And as it's like the weather and I have no control over it i don't worry about it. When i put the ATM card in the slot and nothing comes out then I will start to worry.

I'm not overly concerned with the rate, there's signs the Thai economy is having problems and the powers that be will soon get sick of propping up the baht artificially when it starts to hurt their pockets.
