Health Insurance - Longer Term

I have been all over this for sometime now.

A few of my friends have had terrible accidents. One has so far racked up over 1 Million Baht in bills for a Motorcycle accident. It is big numbers. I also had a friend this week with the Flue and he has racked up a bill of 20,000 baht. It is also a lot of cash. A few others have had bills upto 500,000 baht.

I have insured myself for 6 months now using TID (Travel Insurance Direct) for $492. I have been told they will cover me and I can extend at the end of that 6 months. 

What are most our members doing? Have you got Insurance at all?

I am looking into it. It is a major worry to me being under 30 with UP.

If you Google search you'll see it's cheaper than Private Health Care in Australia but still expensive.
