My apologies if this is covered elsewhere. (I have looked ). Can anyone give me an approximate cost for living in the Philippines (either monthly or yearly)? Living very modestly as well. Even though I receive a pension (DSP),I don't have unlimited portability. I'm curious as I would like to know how many years I could live in the Philippines before my money ran out. (That is,no pension).
Thanks

Like all cost of living estimates it depends on how and where you want to live. Allow $200-$300 a month for a reasonable apartment/house in the provinces. If you buy meat, fruit and veg etc in the local market it will work out cheaper than in the mall super markets. Here is a substantial thread on the Philippines. dspoverseas.proboards.com/thread/2498/philippines
