Hi Everyone,
Had my AAT 1 phone interview today, not feeling confident. I didn't find it very 'informal', he was aggressive and tried to make me feel threatened. My friend who was with me said I did really well, I tried to stay as calm as I could. My GP had written a great letter telling them I have 3 areas in my back that are basically stuffed (my words not his) and that I also have a Nerve sheath tumour, and in his opinion now and in the foreseeable future I am unable to work. (He hates C'link and says what do they think we're here for - just to write letters and fill out forms for them). I was lucky to get this letter out of him. My musculoskeleral specialist also wrote them a letter telling them he had been misquoted by the Health Unit and how it was a Occupational Therapist who spoke to him, he told them that I have 20 points under table 4 and that he wants to see Fairness and Justice and Rectification that I have 20 points.
The AAT had received these letters, so all good there. I sat here with my copy of the Tables, the Guidelines and 266 pages of C'link file. This ...... only refered to one page out of all of these. A report from my Chiro who put I had presented to him for a review of my spine, the ..... said it doesn't mean I had seen him before. He didn't want to talk about my back and cut me off if I tried and said we are only talking about your knee, he wouldn't let me talk about the Pain Management Clinic. There was no talk about the tables. Now this is where it feels unnerving, because I had been investigated by unhuman services for being a member of a couple and they had told me it was all finished, except that the Health Unit asked the musculoskeletal specialist about the 'man in my house', which I feel was not right. My house mate is basically like my carer and my friend who is a enrolled nurse helps me. He asked me if I Skype, if I have FB, and then asked what kind of internet I have and who my provider is, what the?? what has my provider got to do with my health. He asked if I used E-Bay and if I sold on E-bay, again? I told him I needed to sit and rest a bit while doing dishes, he then said well there couldn't be to many dishes there's only two of you, so I told him some nights there more dishes than others depending on what you've cooked. He seemed shocked when I told him my male housemate cleans the bathroom, reckon he'd have a cleaner and has no idea.
So, I sitting here thinking that the investigation isn't over, and I reckon he will give me 0 points for my knee, whether I get anywhere with my back who knows.
All in all, feels like it didn't go well, I now have to wait 14 days for probably another dodgy report.
Sorry for the essay, but so needed to get that all out.

The only thing I can think is that he didn't want to talk about your back because he had enough evidence in front of him regarding it (you did say it was a excellent GP letter).
The only thing I can even think of regarding your provider is the Metadata laws. I think DHS have been made a "law enforcement agency" and have access to your internet usage. I don't know but it's the only reason I can think of. They may use it as "if you can spend this amount of time on the internet, you can work for that long per day".
Although I seriously hope they aren't using it for this.

Sounds like an unpleasurable experience you had with them.
It's interesting that your GP hates Centrelink, i wonder if all GP's think that way? Very strange he asked about your internet provider, facebook, skype and ebay. Never heard of that before.
Hopefully your GP and specialist letter's will be good enough. Good luck.

My guess is GP's probably hate the bureaucratic running of Clink if anything. Good luck anyway with the situation Gypsy.

Just sit back and relax gypsy as you can only wait for now. Yeah i know, easier said than done but necol just had a win and i suspect (hope), you will also. Then I will again GROWL because you shouldn't even have been in this situation to begin with. But every success this way goes further to changing the system eventually i would hope as the public in general will one day see what we already know. THE SYSTEM IS !@#$%^.

Thank you,for your replies, it is very much appreciated, at least on here it feels like someone has your back, it is great to have support. Crossing my fingers (and to anyone else on here going through this) for a win. I agree with you nomadic, there are so many on here that shouldn't be in this situation. Imagine if we could take out a 'Class Action' on them - for unnecessary stress (10 months or more living with stress can't be good for anyone), ptsd, impairments being worse because of this etc. Well at least we can dream and laugh - they can't take that away from us. My original GP didn't like C'link, or Work Cover, he used to say that Doctors that have gone to write Work Cover reports for the insurance companies - are doctors that "haved sold their soul to the system".
Regarding the internet provider thing, I found it strange, especially after looking at others results on here, I haven't heard of it before. I am hoping it is nothing. But as nomadic said, nothing you can do but sit back and wait. The whole system is wrong. I do hope the public are still aware of what's going on, there hasn't been anything much in the media about how people on DSP are being treated. Once again, thank you all. gypsy.

You have the right to remain silent, lest anything you say be misquoted and used against you. Seriously, "No Comment" Why? Because you don't give out personal details to anyone that might identify you and if it's serious enough the Federal's will roll up to the door to second your devices, pending further investigations.

Gypsy, I have been bashing my head against the wall for a few years now trying to start a class action. None of the big law firms will take it up and only recently i tried justice connect but they said no and my next email still not replied to weeks later. one of these days i will look into seeing if you can do it yourself. So'I'd encourage you to look into it also as being out of the country makes it even harder. 8 years i lived with the stress but it is the laws they broke that make me even madder and the lies they told me. But i guess they don't have $trillions to compensate everyone. The country would be bankrupt. That's how big this story should be. Only today a caller on radio told his story and said he had been denied DSP three times. I suspect those on the forum are only a drop in the ocean of mistreatment from Satan.
