The title says it all.
I've been on the DSP since June 2011 but that wasn't made official until March 2012 after I had a SSAT phone interview where I was assessed under the new impairment tables. It was a long drawn out process that took about 18 months since I was rejected twice. My major concerns are the so-called healthy welfare card and being reviewed even though I accumulated 30 points without the addition of one of my ailments which on its own would be another 20 points (I was not diagnosed with that until after I made my application but before the SSAT interview). I also went through the rigmarole of getting not only my superannuation but also the insurance I had on one policy, that required me to be interviewed at length by an insurance doctor.
So, my question is would that doctor's report which is quite lengthy be useful if I were to be reviewed considering that it was 3 years ago? Being 48 and out of the workforce now for close to 8 years the thought of a review doesn't fill me with particular delight, nor does being treated like a moron who needs to have everything on a card. I guess the next step is that we'll all be micro-chipped.

Welcome Trevros, Someone with better knowledge on what you ask than me may either confirm or deny but i consider it unlikely you will be reviewed as you were granted DSP under the latest harsher rules in 2012 and you are over 35 also. So i wouldn't be worries at all but as always I stand to be corrected.

Its always a worry no matter what party is in power since we are the easiest targets to attack. I'd rather be working than having a near zero quality of life like I have now. The card that they wish to push upon us is like food stamps - degrading. Thanks for the welcome BTW.

Trevros... I provided my TPD reports to demonstrate continued incapacity to work and I feel it may have helped my DSP application. I'll be keeping hold of all the info I have just in case I get reviewed. I'm hoping after an 18 month 'fight' I wont be reviewed any time soon but I'll keep the paperwork just in case.

Welcome to the forum Trevros.
Anything they haven't seen would be beneficial in my personal opinion. However an ongoing relationship with your medicos is probably a better bet so as to have current prognosis' to submit should a review becomes necessary.
Cheers bear

Welcome Trevros, keep all your DSP paperwork, I only discarded mine when I qualified for the Age Pension.

Welcome Trevros. When I was reviewed recently the letter Centrelink sent me said that medical evidence from the last two years is given the most weight but I included both new and old medical evidence to show the continuity and severity of my illness. I think this was helpful. Hope this helps.

Trevros, Whatever your disability, Never stop looking for a cure. The day I had my JCA interview for Unlimited Portability I had been to a specialist of one of my disabilities and I presented the results to that JCA interviewer.

Hi Trevros, I just wanted to say hello and welcome you to the forum, albeit a bit late. Lurking around here is extremely beneficial, you learn a lot about whats happening, you see the other issues that people have struggles with and sometimes you realise that you are better off than you could be. They are a great bunch in here so make yourself at home, pour out a cuppa and have a read.....you will benefit from it

So, my question is would that doctor's report which is quite lengthy be useful TrevrosI was granted DSP in 2010 (old DSP tables) and Unlimited Portability in 2013 (new and current Disability Tables). If I was still in Australia I would be passing on every bit of medical information to C/Link that further confirmed my Disability as often as I received it.
