I'm currently having trouble finding a job.
Used these services but they were hopeless. They only place you in jobs where you clean toilets or that 30kn away.
Should I give them another go and hope maybe I might find a better agency.

BUT. You need to know how to make them work for you. All the best. PS I think I have only got 2 jobs through any sort of "service".

quantumranger my nephew has Asperger's Syndrome, he's good with his hands and a thinker. Image that! DES providers worked out for him really well but; he knew what he wanted to do and stood on his digs until they found a support organisation that could genuinely help him achieve it. He worked mowing yards with a bunch of people with serious disabilities on a six month contract and they re-engaged him for another six. That wasn't supposed to happen. Anyhow three months in, a position came up through the Support Organisation and he signed a three month probation contract for an Apprenticeship. A week into that they Indentured him. He's twenty nine, been there a year and just started his third year modules. Know what you want to do, stand your ground and only work for a support organisation that can help you achieve your dreams. Cheers mate, bear P.S. That's how it works in the Bush, can't say if it's the same in the city.

I agree with Denis and Bear, quantumranger. Stand your ground and persevere in looking.
At the very least these job agencies can pay for courses and give you petrol vouchers. Also work clothes. They did for me. But you sometimes have to ask them, or at least complain that you don't have enough to pay for stuff.

I think I'm going to just find some places near me and ask if I can do work experience. I'll persist with three weeks maximum and if they offer me a job then that's good but if they don't then at least if I impressed them I can use them as a reference. I really wanted to work in a major radio station. I have no experience but I thought I could just send them an email saying I have these disabilities and just want to be given a go.

Disability Employment Services has two parts: - Disability Management Service is for job seekers with disability, injury or health condition who need assistance to find a job and occasional support in the workplace to keep a job. - Employment Support Service provides assistance to job seekers with permanent disability to find a job and who need regular, ongoing support in the workplace to keep a job. Depending on which Level your assessed at is who much help they can offer you. www.dss.gov.au/our-responsibilities/disability-and-carers/programmes-services/disability-employment-servicesThere is also a list on that page of organisations that have received offers to deliver DES the new "beaut" DES starting after July 2018.

Great Find krystal The list reads like a who is who of Indue's Associated building societies and such. They sure like to keep us in the dark! 1st July 2018. Nice Scoop, cheers bear.
