I am glad she's stepping aside. Cannot forget her government started the dsp and single parents changes.

yes she cut back portability. Although in all the politicians i contacted her staff was only 1 of 2 out of dozens who didn't lie to me and offered advice. But herself was just another devil.

And just heard that she is claiming credit for NDIS. Their Ego's defy belief. They stab you in the back and then take credit for calling a motor bike taxi to take you to hospital.

No Doubt she will retire on a $200,000 plus pension or around $4,000 a week, or a massive taxpayer subsided supernnauation package not bad considering she once said she could live on $250 a week newstart if she had to, big differnce between her pension $4,000 a week compared to age pension $420 a week for most of us. She will be living on Champagne and Caviar and first class airflights to the south of France, not the retirement to poverty level pension much of Australia has to look forward to www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/i-could-live-on-newstart-macklin-20130101-2c485.html":THE Families Minister, Jenny Macklin, has angered welfare groups by claiming she could live on the $35-a-day Newstart allowance. Ms Macklin made the comments on the day that more than 80,000 single parents were shifted from the parenting payment to the lower Newstart allowance, leaving some up to $110 a week worse off.""

Labor also to blame partly for the gov decision to go to 70. They raised it to 67 wrongly.
