They just carry on regardless, seemingly without a care in the world; other than splashing more cash for more dubious ideas on how to get it Into their mates pockets. The fact this is happening so close to an election is tantamount to thumbing their noses at us, as if there's not even a snowballs chance in hell of them losing.......or if they do the other mob will have the blueprints and claim doing away with it was just a promise, not a core promise!! As for the assistance aledgedly being offered, there are very few jobs; everyone should be skilled to at least the level of astronaut or brain surgeon for the length of time and amounts of money already pumped into those shonky organizations, as for the ludicrous money management statement....... How about giving it a crack yourselves, you pompous out of touch bunch of religious nut jobs. Cheers, from a very cynical Bear

I'll believe it if I ever see it nomadic, because Albo also says he'll bring in a Federal ICAC if elected, but in reality, when push comes to shove, the links below show his true nature and his calibre......

This link gives a list of merchants that won't be accepting the card in the Wide Bay, not Hervey Bay electorate. The commentary from the poster is straight to the point and a little concerning. Funnily, I've tried to go look myself through the link in the post and independently via Google. Perhaps it's my IP address, but Indue security is blocking my access. "Next week, I’m introducing this Bill to SCRAP Scott Morrison’s cruel Cashless Debit Card.
This will STOP his plan to roll out out the Cashless Pension Card to all Aged Pensioners and other Australians."

Nice heads up agonydan , thanks. News is coming in in dribs & drabs so, possibly an MSM article overnight or tomorrow. Big questions though!! Will the Government allow a vote on it?? If the spies have done their work this will be the deciding factor; it will come down to whether the cross benchers who've previously supported income management in its current form continue to do so or not. Try not to lose sight of the fact when the government of the day has a majority, however slight; it's all just theatre for the masses. Cheers bear If interested in further information on the bill please email Justine.Elliot.MP@aph.gov.au as advised on bottom RH corner of the graphic.

Morrison may be plumb out of luck. Cheers bear 📌Hansard from yesterday detailing what documents must be delivered by the LNP to the Senate. Despite her own admissions on twitter yesterday that OAP's ARE indeed being forced onto the #cashlessdebitcard in one region @anne_Ruston continues to mislead the chamber and the people. Also, ALP withdrew bipartisan support CDC in 2017 - we were there when they did that, and her response below is just another sign of her ignorance about the history of this policy or her willingness to keep lying about it on the record. Peoples lives WERE STABLE before this card made them homeless, financially destitute & controlled by LNP's corporate mates.

Morrison, Dutton, Robert, Tudge, Jongen were all the worst people on earth who I detest unapologetically. But possibly Ruston is even worse. She is pure vile. How do people get so much hatred towards others less fortunate? She infuriates me that much I can't even GROWL.

I particularly like this section of the Bill agonydan. The human rights part is only what should be expected in a civilized society; let's hope some will be willing to cross the floor to get it over the line. Cheers bear SCHEDULE 2 - OBLIGATIONS OF THE MINISTER
Item 1 Outlines definitions relevant to this part of the Bill.
Item 2 Requires that the Minister prepare a Local Services and Jobs Plan (the Plan) for the Ceduna, East Kimberly, Goldfields, Bundaberg and Hervey Bay, and Cape York areas. The Plan must propose evidence-based local investments to support the creation of local jobs, improve local community services and address local social issues.
In making the Plan the Minister must consult with local community organisations, First Nations organisation, health services and businesses, as well as state and local government.
For the Cape York area, the plan must also outline transitionary arrangements necessary to support the continued operation of the Family Responsibilities Commission including limited income management.
The Minister is required to publish the Plan by 31 January 2022, and table it in each House of Parliament within 3 sitting days of publication.
This item also outlines the constitutional basis for the Plan.
Item 3 Requires the Minister to publish a written estimate of the full cost of the Commonwealth’s operation of the Cashless Debit Card scheme, and table the estimate in both Houses of Parliament.
Item 4 Requires the Minister to publish each contract between the Commonwealth and Indue Ltd relating to the operation of the of the Cashless Debit Card scheme, taking into account commercial-in-confidence information. When Josh Frydenberg spat out this little gem the It's not for me to tell the Australian people how they should spend their money, that's for them to determine their priorities.” This line angers me so much so much bloody hypocrisy from the LNP. www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Hansard/Hansard_Display?bid=chamber/hansardr/25167/&sid=0028This gets better and better. Rowan Ramsey. "The bill's primary aim is to scrap the cashless debit card trials. The condescending Labor Party was at its worst. We had the member for Bruce, from south-east Melbourne, and the member for Richmond, which includes ByronBay and Tweed Heads, telling the people of Ceduna, Kalgoorlie and Kununurra how to run their lives. Get outof their lives, and let them make their own decisions!" Says a pro CDC Muppet.
