I lost my breakfast with scomo saying this..
The absolute hypocrisy does not surprise me at all really.
"They love telling people what to do, what cars to drive. I think Australians have had enough of governments telling them what to do, frankly. We’ve just been through two years of governments having to tell people what to do."
Bangs head on desk!

Yes, a lot of people have had a gut full, and now a new one for the people travelling on Qantas the woke airline where people will be greeted with “Welcome to country”, no more will it be “welcome back” I hope they have plenty of airsickness bags at the ready. Does anyone have any contacts with the powers to be in the Philippines so I can get the kcuf outta here. Australia is stuffed.

LNP website puff piece "In short, we simply believe in individual freedom and free enterprise; and if you share this belief, then ours is the Party for you."
And yet they want to force this dictatorship facist CDC on people.
And we have Barnaby Joyce coming up with this "Climate deal could put pensions at risk: Deputy PM"
This is the same fool that said people would be paying $100 for a lamb roast in around 2012.
Different song but same drum beat.
LNP thanks for the ulcer.

Nicely said agonydan ......1. For something that's not official policy, it's certainly hung around long past it's use by date. 2. Members of the LNP come from a galaxy far far away.... 3. Strong the hypocrisy that statement is. 1.'A spokesman for the LNP said expanding the cashless welfare trial was not yet an official policy, and might not be.' The cashless debit card, known colloquially as the 'white card', is a top-down policy developed by businessman Andrew Forrest as part of his 2014 review of Indigenous jobs and training. The Australian Government commenced cashless debit card trials in Kununurra/Wyndham, WA and Ceduna, SA in early 2016. ACOSS .pdf 2.'“It doesn’t matter what service you receive, whether it is a road, a hospital or welfare … with every right comes an obligation and with every obligation you should accrue a right,” he said.' 3. “It is a Visa Debit Card so it works just like any other card. BUT It just means part of their welfare payment cannot be used to buy alcohol, gambling products or to withdraw cash.” SO THEREFORE IT DOESN'T I thank my lucky star everyday I wasn't dropped on my head accidentally at birth, otherwise I'd most likely have thought like them too. Cheers bear

The machinations of Government...... Senate estimates 17/02/2022, and Senator Janet Rice trying to pin departmental heads down on just what's going on in the N.T., and perhaps more importantly 'Why'. For sure it takes a special kind of special to be a career public servant!! 18:00 mins. Cheers bear www.facebook.com/SAYNOSEVEN/videos/233389642246984/

I found this on Facebook, but can't provide a link....sorry. Nevermind latindancer _I had great difficulty providing a link to this info. Unfortunately; they are just another of many families being made homeless through this process. Not being in the unenviable position of being on the CDC, I have however found a PDF file on how you can pay rent yourself via the card, but being a pdf I can't provide a link. This info should be available on the DSS site not via pdf imho!! This round about method of delivering information appears to be a recurring theme; whether through deliberate design by the government or just the way of digital infrastructure I have no idea, but it's a major part of the reason for people in the same situation as those in your attachment outlines are becoming homeless, through lack of information and assistance. Just as they're denying Aged Pensioners will not go on the card if they're returned to office, it is in their stalled legislation and that's probably why they can get away with it; as it's not a straight out lie as such, as it's not yet been passed into law. Cheers bear Search term used; :- landlords evicting tenants wanting to pay rent from indue & centrepay/Australia. The 4th entry from top. We are told that the Indue card is necessary because welfare recipients spend all of their money on cigarettes and alcohol. How is this even possible?
We know that they aren't drinking 20 litres of alcohol a day or smoking hundreds of cigarettes a day. The "real" price of a packet of cigarettes is 2 dollars. Alcohol is one of the world's oldest drinks, and is incredibly inexpensive to produce. So how is it that someone on welfare can go broke with a pack of cigarettes a day and a bottle of alcohol?
Simple. The insane, anti poor sin taxes on alcohol and cigarettes. Every church that I have heard of supports the sin taxes that are destroying the poor and keeping them poor. It's time to eliminate the sin taxes, then the Indue card will have no basis for existence.
