Great find genx This stuff goes way above my pay grade however, after a brief look I see they appear to view FDTS as totally irrelevant if an applicant hasn't done a POS. The fact is, doing one is likely to exacerbate the condition in quite a number of cases. This would seem to be devised to override medical advice from treating doctors. Though as I've said, well over my head. Cheers bear

The other thing is that to be exempt of the POS requirement on health grounds you have to exit before applying for DSP.
Most people dont know until they have already completed their application and are then stuck.

How much time and money was spent on putting it altogether. GROWL indeed. Bureaucracy at its finest.

As someone that used to work with processes its not all that comolex, but, the big thing they have forgotten is that they aremt comparing like for like...
Ie when your specialist talks about stability of your condition they are rarely talking about stability of functionality. That simply isnt their role. They often only see you once every 3-6 months and often dont relate to Centrelink definitions. Which is where an advocate or welfare rights can be invaluable before you apply and getring as much understanding of the process right to the end.

I got my treating specialist to address the question below I wanted him to comment on my functional improvement or lack of. Are further treatments reasonably available that are likely to lead to a significant functional improvement in my conditions enabling me to work in the next 5 years?

That is interesting, the links are dead and copying and pasting them as text only returns you to our website. They're just under a year old so I cannot see why Centrelink would delete them if the information is still current. When bear gets back from loafing on his holidays I'll get him right on it.

The highlighted word above could to be key, reflecting on the sunset clause on current legislation that will see it all expire next month. I live in hope genx knows where they can be found and can reactivate them; as I can't seem to find anything about any of it...... Cheers bear

Cheers bear I believe the information is still there but Centrelink has blocked the public from viewing it's operations site. If you can see the operations site then you understand how Centrelink works from the inside, and apparently Centrelink does not want that.

I was surprised you'd actually gotten in in the first place TBH. Cheers bear

WOW........Any structure as top heavy as that would be deemed engineering wise; totally unsafe and bound to fail, given enough elapsed time. Cheers bear

I did try hard to find a new link or where these docs could have been moved to. No luck at all. They are not available for us anymore which is poor form.
