Hi, guys no it's not a trick question, I'm looking at going back for a short while in the near future and would appreciate any advice on the subject. The list may include private rentals if anyone knows people willing to rent rooms etc/Apts/houses at a reasonable rate. Motels/hotels preferably on the Northside. Please include the duration of the stay allowed as this will be of paramount importance. I look forward to hearing from anyone with the information requested. Cheers Itsa Please anyone

If it's a solo trip Itsa, take a look at the place below; though there are rooms there that would suit a family as well. Should you choose to stay at Brisbane Manor I'd suggest contacting them for the room of your choice at the earliest possible convenience prior to leaving, as they book out quickly when rooms become vacant. Coin Laundry & Guest Kitchen facilities on site, Woolies at Central Station or Convenience Store five minutes down the hill out of the back gate. Not sure on duration, though there appeared to be a few long term guests i.e. there were people there in mid January that were there in mid November. Cheers 🐻 My preferred accommodation on Northside:- brisbanemanor.com.au/rooms/

That is a bargain. If anyone knows of something similar in Sydney, I would be keen to know.

Coming to Brissy, aren't you, Itsa ? Crikey, even $ 60/night is 420 a week. I am trying to find somebody for my spare room at the moment but you'd have to be strictly vegetarian. Though you could eat meat outside...that wouldn't worry me. And wouldn't worry me how long you stayed. It's $ 200 / week, all bills included, even internet.
However don't count on it...someone is coming over later today and I don't know when you are arriving.
Have a look on flatmates.com, tee up a few places, then stay at that motel Bear mentioned for a few nights only. Someone may not mind how long you stay....rent needs to paid and it's all about getting someone in and paying.

Hi Itsa, I'm at Gaythorne..... between Enoggera and Mitchelton. Not far from Stafford and a short walk to the train line.
I'd say the room will be taken by then, but you never know....my last housemate was a vegetarian Indian guy who only stayed 8 days as his family pressured him to move back there. And currently a vegan Brazilian lady is here for 2 weeks just before she goes back to Brazil. Others have stayed a year.
Stay in touch....going vego for a few weeks will be good for your health, and the money you save will go a long way where you are now.

Hi latindancer I know the area quite well I used to frequent the Gaythorne RSL with a mate Col Andrews R.I.P. We used to have a few beers and a meal, good times, also the Keperra drive-in was fun in the 80s. Going vegan may be the way to go I certainly could lose a few pounds and not miss it. I'll know more about what's happening in two weeks and get in touch, Thanks for the interest shown talk soon cya... Cheers Itsa
