l think l read if you are on the DSP you can get a phone and internet allowance , how do you qualify, whAT are the rules how much is it, anyone here get it

lm confused because l think it says you need to be under 21 years of age to get it if you are on the DSP do you need to be under 21 to get it "Disability Support Pension You may get Telephone Allowance if you are under 21 with no dependent children."

Bunyip that's what I read too, it does not surprise me either because the young whipper snappers have to be plugged in with advancing their education. As long as they give Tick Tock a rest I think the telephone allowance is a good thing.

When it comes to DSP, that's what it looked like to me too bunyip . And over 60's on Jobseeker plus all of the others that are eligible..... Call the DSP line below, and ask them. "Disability, Sickness and Carers line"

Bunyip life is unfair all-right. From memory it's only around $50 every 3 months anyway. Not even enough to cover a phone plan the stingers. Anyway no use us complaining because no one listens lol. Your probably better off getting IP UP if you havn't already and coming somewhere over here in SEA, it's not for free, it's cheap-er.
