Not specifically forum related, other than if implemented it being aligned with the flawed JobKeeper Scheme.
Forgive me for being skeptical by thinking something smells fishy........ Cheers 🐻 Excerpts:- "We all know about JobKeeper, which helped Australians keep their jobs in a global crisis. So how about HomeKeeper?" "It would work like this. Say, for example, someone has a $500,000 mortgage and their monthly repayment is $5,000. They could apply for HomeKeeper assistance for five months (reaching the $25,000 cap). In return, the government would get a 5 per cent equity stake in their house. This could also be taken out as partial assistance, depending on the homeowner's needs.

And you can't access superannuation now until 67? You can't get the Aged Pension until 67 y.o. Denis-NFA. According to these sites you can access superannuation from 55 y.o. up or at any age with a good enough yarn to support your need; I've been led to.believe. Or whenever the government of the day decides on a 'special program'. Cheers 🐻 "You can get your super when you retire and reach your 'preservation age'. This is between 55 and 60, depending on when you were born. Or when you reach age 65, even if you are still working.
Under 60: you must have finished working and have no intention of working again 60-64: when you leave or stop working for an employer 65: you can access all your super, even if you’re still working

Generally people who have met the criteria for DSP (moreso for UP/IP) could meet early access requirements.

I would not trust that scheme at all simply going on their shady housing loan scheme where they ripped off thousands of low income people by offering them housing loans then having them pay more than they would have for a bank loan for the same amount- many people lost their homes which they had paid much more for than their neighbours who got the bank loans and yet again they got away with deliberately ripping off the poor- they paid out the main person with the bulk of evidence that really proved just how shady their loans and actions towards low income people were so no one heard the full story and they got away with stealing from the poor.
