Details about your NAB Classic Banking account
Hi Bear,
Welcome to your NAB Classic Banking account.
In September 2023, we sent you a Summary of Changes and Variation Notice including details relating to moving your Citibank Plus Transaction Account ending in 9864 to a NAB Classic Banking account. You can also find this information at nab.com.au/cititransaction.
Your NAB Classic Banking account is now active and ready for you to start moving your banking to this account, including transferring your funds.
If you have not transferred your funds from the Citibank Plus Transaction Account to your NAB Classic Banking account on or before 23 February 2024, we will transfer those funds for you on 24 February 2024.
Your Citibank Plus Transaction Account and Citi Debit Mastercard will be closed on 24 February 2024, and the NAB Classic Banking account and NAB Visa Debit card will continue.

You can check and update your details and communication preferences within the NAB app.
To access NAB Internet BankingYou can also manage the NAB Classic Banking account online through NAB Internet Banking at nab.com.au/IB.
Start using your NAB Visa Debit card once you receive it
Your NAB Visa Debit card will be mailed to your postal address between 21 November 2023 and 27 January 2024.
We previously advised that we will not be mailing NAB Visa Debit cards to overseas postal addresses. We have listened to feedback, and we will be mailing the NAB Visa Debit card to your postal address, whether it is in Australia or overseas.
If we have your mobile number, we will send you a text when the NAB Visa Debit card is on its way and is ready to be used. Once you get that text, the digital card will be ready within the NAB app and you can then save this to your digital wallet and start using it (you do not have to wait for the card to arrive). You'll find information on setting up your digital wallet at nab.com.au/digitalpayments.
Set up or re-establish PayID Set up or re-establish your PayID
PayID is a quick and easy way to share your account details. You can find out more at nab.com.au/payid.
If you'd like to transfer your PayID to your NAB Classic Banking account on or before 23 February 2024 you can find out how at nab.com.au/cbintro.
If you don't transfer your PayID on or before 23 February 2024, your PayID on your Citi branded account will be deregistered, and you will no longer be able to receive PayID transactions to the Citibank Plus Transaction Account from 24 February 2024. You may re-register for PayID via NAB Internet Banking or the NAB app on your NAB Classic Banking account.
To set yourself up before the Citibank Account and Citi Debit Mastercard are closed on 24 February 2024:
You should do the following, so they are in place by 24 February 2024.
Transfer funds from the Citibank Plus Transaction Account
You can transfer all or part of the funds to the NAB Classic Banking account on or before 23 February 2024, or wait for us to do this for you on 24 February 2024.
Set up inward payments Set up salary payments and inward payments
We're unable to help you set up the following for your account, so you'll need to do these yourself.
Your salaryUpdate your account details with your employer by advising them of your NAB Classic Banking account details using our salary transfer form at nab.com.au/salarytransfer.
Other inward payments (such as government payments, Medicare, dividends etc.)
Contact the relevant department, agency or third-party provider and provide your NAB Classic Banking account details.
Inward international paymentsYou'll need to advise each payer to update your account details to the NAB Classic Banking account and NAB's SWIFT Code: NATAAU3303M. We cannot do this for you. You'll find more information at nab.com.au/osreceive
Review and update outgoing payments from the Citibank Plus Transaction Account
Review and update your outgoing payments from your the Citibank Plus Transaction Account to your NAB Classic Banking account
You will find a letter in NAB Internet Banking which provides a list of direct debit arrangements and periodical/recurring payments on your Citi branded account for the previous 13 months. For instructions on how to view your letter visit nab.com.au/cbintro.
Payment types that won't be included in the letter are international inwards and outwards, cheque inwards and outwards, payments made through OSKO inwards and Real Time Gross Settlement inwards and outwards.
Direct debits which we will update for you
We will update the below direct debit arrangements from your Citibank Plus Transaction Account to your NAB Classic Banking account to take effect from 24 February 2024:
Direct debits to Citi branded home loans
Direct debits to Citi branded credit cards and Citi branded personal lending accounts
Direct debits to other non-NAB branded credit cards and other non-NAB branded products issued by the NAB Group.1
Direct debits that you need to update
Unfortunately, we're unable to update any other direct debits for you (e.g. utilities, insurance payments, toll operators etc.), and you'll need to do this yourself if you would like the direct debits to continue from 24 February 2024. More information on updating direct debits can be found at nab.com.au/switchpayments.
Update outgoing scheduled payments using NAB Internet Banking and/or the NAB app
We're unable to update any outgoing scheduled payments set up from your Citi branded account for you. You'll need to do this yourself if you'd like these payments to continue from 24 February 2024. This includes:
One off and recurring outgoing scheduled 'Pay Anyone' payments to a BSB and Account Number payee (this includes payments to Citi branded account(s) and account(s) with other Australian Financial Institution(s))
One off and recurring scheduled BPAY® payments (any payments to a BPAY® Biller code and Customer Reference Number)

Your Domestic Payee list from Citi Online will be moved to NAB Internet Banking and the NAB app (this includes any saved domestic BPAY® payees and BSB and account numbers) between 21 November 2023 and 12 December 2023, and available from that time.
Before you move your payments, please ensure that you have sufficient funds in your Citibank Plus Transaction Account to meet payments to be made from that account up to and including 23 February 2024, and that you have sufficient funds in your NAB Classic Banking account at the relevant time, to meet your payments to be made from that account.
