Air travellers unimpressed as KLIA imposes surcharge for int’l passengers come June 1
AS IF the spiralling cost of living is not enough of a headache for ordinary citizens, the Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) has decided to compound the woes by announcing a passenger service charge effective June 1.Regardless of the destination, international travellers will need to pay RM73 for flights departing from KLIA1 (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) while those leaving via klia2 will incur a RM50 service charge. I thought all countries already had departure tax going back 40 years or more. Maybe Malaysia is just catching up.

You travelers have your own shorthand... I thought at first it was a misprint or a new type of hard drive Denis-NFA, which really confused me given the topic. However, although Google LLC has various interpretations, I suspect in this instance it's most likely to be traveller's shorthand for 'Same Stuff (or use your favourite four letter word beginning with 's') Different Day. Cheers 🐻

Of course it's off topic nomadic even blind Freddie could see that!!! On that issue the forum is littered with similar post breaching the rules. Of course it is Itsa....... By the hundreds & thousands!! What else could be expected from a ragtag group of disabled & elderly pensioners and their carers. I did an experiment at one time and closed threads that went off topic after a couple of off topic posts. Yeah nah, no good; it would just lurch from one thread to another, then another until it eventually ran out of puff, so I gave up on having any sort of on-topic disciplinary tribunal because most excuses for going off topic sounded perfectly plausible to me depending on my own state of wellness at the time. Besides, most Centrelink questions are fielded in a timely manner with everyone chipping in; so what's the harm I say. It's part of who we are and any occasional newer members that harp on about it, makes me question their own motivation for being here if their queries are being followed up. Cheers 🐻
