A CENTRELINK debt recovery officer has been charged with "dealing with" more than 60 kilograms of silver allegedly stolen from homes on Sydney's North Shore. Christopher See, 56, from Bellevue Hill, has been charged with four counts of dealing in the proceeds of crime, along with his son Phillip See, 33, from Randwick, who faces five charges related to theft. His son has been charged with intending to burgle house a house in Castlecrag. His father Christopher See was charged in relation to 27 1kg bars of pure silver, 10.5kg of silverware, 9kg of silver scrap and 16 kg of mixed silver scrap which police suspected were stolen. A legal agent acting for Christopher See's lawyer Philip Stewart yesterday told the court that his client was on bail on other charges which were laid in Victoria. "The charges are complicated matters. There are co-accused currently in custody in another jurisidiction," he said, referring to his son Phillip, who is in custody in Melbourne. Police told the court that investigations were continuing and further charges could possibly arise. The pair were arrested last month as part of an investigation into a spate of burglaries on Sydney's north shore. They are due back in court in Hornsby on April 18. www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/sydney-nsw/centrelink-debt-recovery-officer-charged-over-dealing-with-60kgs-of-stolen-silver/story-fn7y9brv-1226242402890
