Gillard/Macklin have laid the groundwork for Abbott to get younger people off the DSP and onto NewStart.
While I'm all for the young disabled having a job, it's wrong to stuff up the lives of people who are not going to get one under any circumstances. And this isn't only because of disability... Someone who is 50, has been on the DSP since they were 30 and has to go to an employer and say "I haven't worked for 20 years" and expect him to beat kids in their 20s who really want that job?
Get real.

I would like to know also what the 30 hour rule has to do with matters I have been on Dsp since 2000 it applies to myself also, I dont know if its a positive thing or negative. I wish you well Nikita I have no experience of the JCA I will let more informed people help.

nikita, tell them you have no arms, no legs ,are deaf and can't speak, oops disregard the last one then you may just have a slight chance seriously though, all they want to do is try and prove you have some ability to work,FULLSTOP Then they can either keep you on,maybe downgrade you to new-start,or if you believe in miracles grant it, seen as you have a phone interview you may be okay,
