Updated flight schedule for Hua Hin-Chiang Mai route announced
The schedule for flights between Hua Hin and Chiang Mai is changing from December. Here’s what you need to know.
In case you missed the announcement earlier this month, there’s an important update for travelers frequenting the Hua Hin-Chiang Mai route. Starting from December, the AirAsia flight schedule for this popular route will see a significant change. In a move to better accommodate the needs of passengers, AirAsia has revised its flight days for the Hua Hin to Chiang Mai route. The service, which was previously available on Sundays, will now operate on Saturdays. This change is part of the airline’s ongoing efforts to provide more convenient travel options for its customers. The updated schedule is set as follows: Flights from Hua Hin to Chiang Mai will depart at 17:25 and arrive at 18:45. Return flights from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin will leave at 15:35 and land at 16:55. These flights will operate four times a week, specifically on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and the newly added Saturday slot. Travelers looking to book their journey on this route can do so by visiting the AirAsia website at www.airasia.com or by contacting their call center at 032-520-169. It’s important to note that this AirAsia flight is currently the only service operating from Hua Hin Airport, making it a crucial link for residents and visitors of both cities. www.huahintoday.com/hua-hin-news/updated-flight-schedule-for-hua-hin-chiang-mai-route-announced/

Great find for me to Hua Hin. Cheers. Didn't even really know there was an airport there for sure. Only an hour from my seaside retreat when the smoke starts. Will save the 4 or 5 hours by bus from Bangkok. But I think there are other, maybe smaller, airlines flying Bangkok to Danang already.

It seems that the ASEAN countries are all pushing the tourism angle with all the airline flights.
SE Asia generally is probably safer than most other places in the world.

Yes Denis-NFA; for all of the bad press on expat forums, living here since early 2018 all bar 6 months, and coming regularly since 2008 multiple times a year, I've yet to see nor encounter violence of any kind. Like anywhere around the world though, I'm sure it does happen if you frequent nightlife precincts. Cheers 🐻

When I first mentioned to someone in Perth back in 2011 that I was heading to The Philippines they were horrified because they remembered the frequency of gun carrying security guards that they saw when they visited. I have no idea what Thailand is like but I have found it re-assuring to see gun toting security guards at most establishments that deal with money.

Same same here Denis-NFA . Armed guards or armed coppers at a lot of Banking institutions. It was a real eye opener to see coppers at the old KLIA 1 back about 2010 toting automatic weapons though..... Now they're more common amongst law enforcement agencies than hen's teeth or rocking horse 💩. Cheers 🐻

Well, I had my faith in leaving my door unlocked for the last 25 years when I go out, lost today. went for my 1-hour walk and someone has stolen 40,000 baht I only got out of the bank on Friday. They knew where it was because the it was under clothes . 1 of 8 shelves and only those clothes were on the floor. And only baht taken making me think a local. No idea as I am in a secluded spot and trust all 100% whoever comes in. So a real mystery but back to carrying bloody keys again it seems. Yes, baddies everywhere. I'm told lots of tourist rooms get robbed but never heard that before today.

Maybe someone who knew where you lived saw you in the bank? Odd that they knew your regular hiding spot though.

Too many non Thai locals that I'd probably not interact with in a month of Sundays up in your neck of the woods nomadic . Every foreigner that has initiated a conversation with me here has wanted money, to use my phone or to buy them beer.... Never just to have a chat; except for one young bloke keen on knowing more about a motorcycle I had at the time!! I'm definitely sorry to hear of your misfortune though. Cheers 🐻

Cheers 🐻 My Mrs took me up there 20 years ago, we sat having dinner watching a group of wannabe hippies (junky farang according to herself who had worked a tour guide up there) across the road standing by the atm and working their phones.
