But you see how recognisable the game plan is... blame and intimidate the victims, deny and lie, lose it in paperwork, allot blame at the lowest staff level, offer a sacrificial lamb...preferably someone about to retire or already in the shit.

I just watched the TV series based on the 1996 film The Full Monty. Some interesting insights into the British Social Security system there.

A sea change... an nice beach somewhere, some palm trees, 30 degrees in the shade, the smell of fish fresh of the boat being bbq-ed over charcoal?

This sounds interesting, I'm a Toby Jones fan anyway. Mr Bates vs The Post Office Mr Bates vs. The Post Office is an upcoming four-part British television drama series for ITV, written by Gwyneth Hughes, directed by James Strong and starring an ensemble cast led by Toby Jones. The series is a dramatic re-telling of the British Post Office scandal. It will premiere on 1 January 2024. Synopsis A faulty IT system led to prosecutions of fraud, theft and false accounting for postmasters across the UK. In 2009, group of sub-postmasters formed the Justice For Subpostmasters Alliance. The productions were later ruled a miscarriage of justice at the conclusion of the Bates v Post Office Ltd judicial case (2019)

I actually quite like driving in Thailand, especially the general indifference to parking rules. I've never had an accident in twenty years though, but certainly a lot of close calls with motorbikes. Only last week I had a stretch of Highway 1 all to myself and crept up to near the speed limit only to have a motorbike try to cross in front without looking first.

They knew where it was because the it was under clothes . 1 of 8 shelves and only those clothes were on the floor. And only baht taken making me think a local. Too many non Thai locals that I'd probably not interact with in a month of Sundays up in your neck of the woods nomadic . Every foreigner that has initiated a conversation with me here has wanted money, to use my phone or to buy them beer.... Never just to have a chat; except for one young bloke keen on knowing more about a motorcycle I had at the time!! I'm definitely sorry to hear of your misfortune though. Cheers π» My Mrs took me up there 20 years ago, we sat having dinner watching a group of wannabe hippies (junky farang according to herself who had worked a tour guide up there) across the road standing by the atm and working their phones.

Maybe someone who knew where you lived saw you in the bank? Odd that they knew your regular hiding spot though.
